In 1998 this leading firm was changing its performance reviews, personal development plans and career paths to competency-based processes. The company needed to train its 1,500 New York City-based IT professionals to understand the competencies, as well as to train the IT professionals to give reviews and development plans under the new system. Amanda Morgan provided:

A mid-sized technology consulting company, Thaumaturgix (Tgix) was growing rapidly and attempting to build leadership from within. Morgan Training and Coaching was engaged to:

  • Provide personal and professional coaching to Tgix’s founders and senior staff
  • Teach management training to Tgix’s senior technology staff
  • Facilitate difficult conflict-oriented meetings among the company’s leadership
  • Train technology managers to give performance reviews and personal development plans
  • Provide consulting services on leadership and change management issues

During a restructuring in 2000, Morgan Training and Coaching developed an experiential training program to build teamwork within new organization units. During their 2001 downsizing, we provided change management courses for surviving staff as well as career coaching for departing staff. Morgan Training and Coaching continues to consult with Tgix on difficult issues.

GE is a diversified services, technology and manufacturing company with over $100 billion in annual revenue. Amanda Morgan was chosen from 20 contenders to build and deliver a Leadership Initiative Program designed to motivate and retain senior female management. The program’s goals were:

  • To motivate and retain senior female management
  • To inspire them to facilitate change and to take leadership

As part of the program, Ms. Morgan provided both group and individual coaching to over 300 senior women throughout the organization.
